Casa Lia Sole ("house in the sun" in old Italian) was originally a working farm and some parts are over 200 years old. It has been fully renovated over the last 20 years into a luxury villa with around 7,500 square of indoor space and substantial terraces and grounds.
The main door opens from the courtyard to a small entrance hall from where stairs lead to our first floor accommodation.
On the ground floor there is a large country kitchen including fitted appliances including a wine fridge and a stunning vaulted brick ceiling. A door leads from the kitchen to the garden and a second door opens to a pergola at the back of the house, our favourite al fresco dining area, set on a large terraced area with beautiful views and leads to our outside pizza oven.
Adjacent to the kitchen, the large living room also features the original vaulted brick ceiling and an open fireplace.
The ground floor features a guest suite with a large double bedroom, substantial bathroom, utility room (with washing machine) and our air conditioned gym and games room featuring a pool table, darts board, indoor games and modern gym equipment.
Stairs lead from the entrance hall to a landing and corridor. Off the corridor are 4 spacious double bedrooms each decorated in a different colour scheme and all enjoying stunning views over the garden and vineyard. The large master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and also enjoys views to the South over the Ligurian alps. There are two further bathrooms, one with a free standing bath tub.
A door at the end of the corridor accesses an office area which can be used as an additional bedroom and a stylish pool lounge with double doors taking guests to an outside portico on our raised terrace, luxury outside dining area and 12 metre rectangular swimming pool featuring child friendly steps.
The house has broadband access in every room as well as Sky television.
Casa Lia Sole is set in around 10 acres of grounds including a forest, our special vineyard of around 1 hectare and substantial landscaped gardens. The garden has swings and slide for kids in addition to volleyball/badminton court and other outdoor games. A special feature of the stunning gardens is a 300 year old oak tree.
